Common Questions
When does a dedicated team beat staff augmentation?
When the group is big enough that coordinating it becomes a job in itself. Up to a handful of people, individuals inside your existing team work well. Beyond that, a group with its own rituals and a shared backlog is easier to run than the same people scattered across yours. The commitment is the trade: six months rather than three.
Is this an offshore development centre (ODC)?
In substance, yes. The team works from our Bangalore office — real desks, local HR and a German-speaking contact — rather than from kitchen tables coordinated over chat. What we do not do is register a legal entity in your name, which is what a captive centre or a build-operate-transfer deal means. You get the facility without having to own one.
Who leads the team?
You do. Task assignment, priorities, code review and the sprint sit with your lead, on a dedicated team exactly as with a single engineer — that is what the contract says and it is not a formality. What sits with us is the employment relationship in Bangalore, payroll, statutory compliance and finding a replacement if someone leaves. If you were expecting to hand over delivery itself, that is a different product and not one we sell today.
Can we interview every member?
Yes, and we recommend it. Every candidate reaches you as a profile first, after verified European project experience, an AI-based technical assessment and a communication check. You interview whoever you want to, and decline whoever you want to.
How long does it take to stand a team up?
The first profiles usually arrive within 48 hours for mainstream skills and 3-5 business days for niche combinations. A whole team takes longer than a single hire because start dates depend on each individual's notice period, so teams typically ramp in waves rather than starting on one day.
What is the commitment?
Dedicated teams run for a six-month minimum term from the start date, after which the engagement continues month to month and can be ended on 30 days' notice — the same notice as staff augmentation, so the minimum term is the only difference between the two. Anything agreed differently for your engagement is stated in your Order Form, which takes precedence.
